Barcelona are allegedly prepared to go on a reduction for Ousmane Dembele since they are willing to part ways with the Frenchman for a sum of 85 million (roughly $100 million), $20 million less than what they paid.
The cause of this seems to be the fact that Dembele’s contract expires in two years, meaning if they opt to keep the Frenchman Barca may face a loss that is greater.
The 22-year-old had refused a move to Paris St-Germain in Blaugrana’s attempt. El Desmarque has promised that Barca have lost their patience with the youngster, with a series of accidents and disciplinary issues surrounding the participant.
The report asserts that the club wishes to get a window with several interested clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid, who are interested in the Frenchman.
Dembele arrived at the Nou Camp in 2017 but has lost his credibility to be termed as great. He’s managed to score 19 goals along with 17 assists in 74 appearances for the Catalan club.
The Spanish champions are planning to use Dembele’s move fee as they look at the Brazilian to be the perfect replacement for Lionel Messi to invest in Neymar’s return. Tales of Liverpool being one of those clubs likely to bid for the Frenchman has hit the news but is improbable given that they don’t need him.
The two Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are unlikely to depart from Anfield anytime soon and the signing of Takumi Minamino makes it impossible to feel the Champions League winners will prepare such a huge fee to get a winger that is not needed.
A shocking revelation is a fact that Dembele’s former club are planning a loan deal for their former prospect so as to bolster their odds for from the Champions League qualification. This would be a proposal by the club since they can’t manage to cover Demeble salary. Only time will tell what the future holds for Ousmane as Barca looks to plan for their post-Messi era.
Is Dembele’s time over at Barcelona or would he thrive for many seasons to come?
