Barcelona are yet to reveal their first signings of the summer as the rebuilding continues for the Spanish team under the management of Xavi. They have already reached an agreement with some of the players and are yet to make a move for the players on their long wishlist. Barcelona are looking for players in the left-back position. Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso is the favourite to join the club. However, the player is a temporary solution for the left-back position, and they need a player who can cement his position in the long run. One of the players being targeted by Barcelona is Monaco’s left-back, Caio Henrique. The Brazilian is just 24 years old and was a former Atletico Madrid player. Henrique had a productive 2021/22 season and managed to provide 12 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions. The player also represented his side in the UEFA Champions League qualification round, but Monaco ended up playing in the UEFA Europa League.
Henrique made four appearances in the UEFA Champions League 2021/22 qualification round for Monaco, where he was able to provide an assist in one of the matches. This shows that the full-back needs to show some improvement in his defensive side of the game.
Caio Henrique had a decent last season and gained the interest of teams like Barcelona and PSG. The player still needs some improvement in his defensive game but has an impressive record going forward. Barcelona will look to sign the player and help him to improve his game so that he can cement his place in Barca’s lineup.
